2016 Public Meeting

Maryland State Rehabilitation Council (MSRC) & DORS Annual Public Meetings & Needs Assessment

DORS and the MSRC continually assess the rehabilitation and career needs of Maryland citizens with disabilities.

As part of this assessment we hold annual public meetings and, every three years, conduct a needs assessment.

The 2016 Public Meetings were held on the following dates and at the following locations:

July 11, 4:15 – 6:15 PM, at Anne Arundel County Public Library  (10 attendees)
July 12, 4 – 6:00 PM, at DORS’ Workforce & Technology Center in Baltimore (17 attendees)
July 14, 4 – 6:00 PM, Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation One Stop in Easton (14 attendees),
July 26, 4 – 6:00 PM, at the Carroll County Business & Employment Resource Center in Westminster  (7 attendees)
July 28, 4 – 6:00 PM, at the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation One Stop in Wheaton (38 attendees)​
ASL Interpreters were provided at the public meetings.
A Statewide Teleconference was held on  August 4th, from 1 – 2:00 PM (12 attendees).

The attendees included  DORS staff, CRP staff, consumers, advocates, and others. ​

A summary of the public meeting comments will be released with the results of the triennial comprehensive needs assessment​​.​
