Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Services

WTC provides Behavioral Health Services to assist consumers, either in person or remotely, to maintain a healthy and/or recovery lifestyle as they work toward employment and independence.

Substance use and co-occurring disorders (substance and mental disorders) are typically a barrier to employment. Consumers participating in vocational trainings are screened at the start of their program. Positive drug screens are addressed and when necessary, brief counseling, education and resources are provided, to better achieve abstinence while participating in WTC services. If abstinence is not achieved within two to four weeks of WTC vocational trainings, consumers will be assisted with a referral to a community treatment provider. Consumers with withdrawal symptoms and/or with moderate to severe substance use will be further assessed for their training/program readiness and may receive a referral for treatment.

Good health and well-being also lead to better employment outcomes. Health education and diabetes assessments and education are offered as well.

WTC is a drug-free environment. Consumers found to possess alcohol or illegal substances on the premises of WTC may be discharged.
