Effective July 1, 2025, DORS will conclude its Maryland Accessible Telecommunications (MAT) Rehabilitation Specialist program that used independent contractors to provide training assistance on MAT devices for individuals who are blind, deaf/blind, or have low vision.
RSM 5, Section 200: Vendor Fees has been updated accordingly, and the
MAT Rehabilitation Specialist Factsheet and list of
DORS-Approved MAT Specialists have been removed from the
Blind & Low Vision Resources.

Nature of Work: This position serves as chief of psychiatry and psychological services. The chief psychiatrist must plan and supervise the work of Psychologist Services Chief, psychiatrists, and psychologists as they interpret electronic medical evidence, prescribe medical evaluation needs and participate as the medical examiner in the adjudication of disability claims within the Social Security Disability Program. The role coordinates the work of the psychologists and psychiatrists in the agency in terms of their overall productivity, quality and training. factsheet (formerly titled Inclement Weather Information). The existing Spanish language version of this document has been removed from the Library, awaiting translation of the new version.
