WTC’s Enrichment Services is available for residential consumers. There are many supervised recreational activities held at WTC and in the community. A weekly schedule of activities is posted and available to all students and staff. These may include:
- Bowling
- Exercise programs
- Arts and crafts
- Board and table games
- Movie nights
- Talent and fashion show
- Trips to local events

WTC Enrichment Services also offers
Travel Training to teach consumers how to commute between home or internships sites and the WTC using public transportation prior to or while attending classes at WTC.

Travel Training – Boot Camp
Program Description
Travel Training – Boot Camp is designed to assist consumers that are entering a WTC core or partnership training program who need assistance navigating between WTC and the MARC train station or their residence prior to them starting their program. Travel Training – Boot Camp is a four-day group training.
Consumers in Travel Training – Boot Camp will learn:
- How to use Google Maps and the transit apps
- How to read transit schedules
- Safety precautions
- Public transportation rules and etiquette
- What to do in the event of an emergency
- Types of bus fares (e.g., tokens, bus passes, Charm Card)
Program Requirements
The consumer must:
- Have been accepted into to a WTC core or partnership training program
- Have a planned start date to a WTC core or partnership program

Travel Training – Group for WRP
Program Description
Travel Training – Group for WRP is provided for students who participate in the
Work Readiness Program. Students attend a six-session course. Five of the six sessions are class instruction. The sixth class teaches students to navigate from WTC to a specific location with the Travel Training Instructors.
Class focus includes:
- How to read bus schedules
- How to use Google Maps and other apps
- How to plan a trip using public transportation
- Safety precautions
- Public transportation rules and etiquette
- Types of bus fares (e.g., tokens, bus passes, Charm Card)
Program Requirements
The student must be:
- Enrolled in Work Readiness Program 1 or 2

Program Description
Travel Training – Individual provides individual instruction for consumers that need to learn to navigate a specific route or to a specific location.
Consumer receiving individualized instruction will learn:
- How to use tokens to obtain a bus pass
- How to choose the correct bus
- How to request bus stops
- Bus rules and etiquette
- How to identify landmarks to assist in identifying desired bus stops
- Safety precautions
- Who to contact in the event of an emergency
- How to read the LED boards when using the train
