The Maryland Rehabilitation Association (MRA), a state chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association, is pleased to announce a scholarship for the Maryland Rehabilitation Conference to be held on November 7-8, 2019 at the Sheraton Hotel in Towson, Maryland.
The scholarship includes admission to all general and breakout sessions, lunch, and entry to the MRA Social Event.
All students are encouraged to apply. Interested students must write a short essay to include:
“MRA is an interdisciplinary, professional organization committed to promoting best practices in rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and to supporting professionals in the field. This mission is accomplished through interdisciplinary communication, educational activities, legislative activities, and organizational growth and development.”
All submissions must be emailed to Malorie Marti, MRA president, at firstname.lastname@example.org by August 15, 2019. Scholarship winners will be notified by August 31, 2019.

The Vocational Rehabilitation program receives 78.7% of its funding through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. For Federal fiscal year 2018, the total amount of grant funds awarded were $44,234,054. The remaining 21.3% of the costs ($11,971,860) were funded by State appropriations.
