Maryland Rehabilitation Association & the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services Present: Maryland Rehabilitation Conference 2021. November 18 & 19, 2021. Sheraton Baltimore North, Towson, Maryland.

After two tumultuous years that none of us will soon forget, the Maryland Rehabilitation Association and the MSDE Division of Rehabilitation Services once again invite you to the live, in-person Maryland Rehabilitation Conference.

Help us celebrate the partnerships between public vocational rehabilitation, community organizations, and the Maryland workforce partners that create successful outcomes for Marylanders with disabilities who want to work, even in the face of trying times like a global pandemic.

This year's conference includes:
  • Keynote Speaker – Dr. Robert J. Froehlich, Associate Professor of Counseling and Human Development at the George Washington University.
  • Thursday Lunchtime Speaker – Jim Cabezas, author of Eyes of Justice. Retired Baltimore City police officer and State political corruption investigator, and a former DORS consumer.
  • Friday Lunchtime Speakers – Maryland Business Enterprise Program for the Blind site managers George Abbott, Melba Taylor, Jim Papania and Tassie Thompson.
  • 25 Breakout Sessions on disability, employment, vocational rehabilitation, assistive technology, and personal development (8.75 CRC credits available).
  • Exhibitors showcasing the latest in rehabilitation products and services.
  • MRA Charity Event – benefiting the Maryland Food Bank.

Conference fee includes breakfast Thursday morning, lunch on Thursday and Friday, and access to all Keynote, Lunchtime and Breakout Sessions and the Exhibit Hall.

  • Professional registration is $170 for both days, or $130 to attend one day.
  • Student registration is $75.

COVID Procedures: We are working closely with the Sheraton to ensure safety of our participants. There will be social distancing protocols in place at all sessions and conference attendees will be required to wear masks while in sessions and within conference areas.
