Fund sources, or budgets, are available in AWARE™ for authorizations. Some funds are only available to specific caseloads or specific case types, and are based on certain fields being filled in prior to issuing authorizations. Below is a summary of the different fund sources and what parameters are needed to make those funds available for specific cases.

EBPSE Milestone Payments
|
Only to caseloads that generate authorizations for "Milestone Payments for EBPSE." |
- Special Program – BHA – EBP Milestone Payment System
- SE flag must be checked on Plan.

Employment Program
|
All VR cases after Service status, used for job support/job coaching only |
- Case status Service status or beyond (need Plan Date entered)
|
Independent Living Older Blind (ILOB)
|
All cased designated as ILOB |
- Reporting Category on Application – Older Blind
- Age 55 or older
- Case Type – IL
|
Pre- Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
|
VR and Pre-ETS cases of consumers whose current age is more than 14 and less than 22 and who are currently in school. |
- Current Age – calculated by AWARE™ based upon the birth date in relation to the authorization begin date.
- Educational Goal Grid contains an active education record, meaning a record that has already begun (Begin Date = today or earlier), but that does not yet have an End Date or outcome recorded.

Rehabilitation Communication Specialist
|
Only to caseloads identified to provide RCS services |
|
Supported Employment
|
VR cases with plans designated as Supported Employment |
- SE flag must be checked on Plan.
- Case must be in Service status or later.
- Case must have an active Employment Record (Begin Date with no End Date).
- Active Employment Record must have "Yes" checked for "Ongoing Support Services Required."
|
Supported Employment – Youth
|
VR cases of consumers who are less than age 25 with plans designated as supported employment. |
- Current Age – calculated by AWARE™ based upon the birth date in relation to the Fund Source Selection date.
- Case must be in Service status or later.
- SE flag must be checked on Plan.
- Case must have an active Employment Record (Begin Date with no End Date).
- Active Employment Record must have "Yes" checked for "Ongoing Support Services Required."
