​WCAG Contrast Checker Firefox Add-on

  1. Open this page in the Firefox browser.  If you don't currently have Firefox installed on your computer, please contact the DoIT Service Desk and have them install it for you.
  2. Click this link to go to the WCAG Contrast Checker add-on page.
  3. Click on the + Add to Firefox button.  If Firefox asks "Add WCAG Contrast Checker?" click on Add.  When it is finished, click on OK.
You'll see the WCAG Contrast Checker icon  to the right of the URL at the top of the browser. 

To check the colors on a webpage, bring the page up in Firefox and click on the WCAG Contrast Checker logo.

 

Accessibility Checking Widgets

These handy little programs will live in the bookmarks toolbar at the top of the Firefox page.

If your Firefox screen doesn't show the bookmarks toolbar, turn it on by holding down the ALT key and hitting V to open the View menu.  Let the ALT key go and type T to bring up the list of toolbars.

If there's no check next to Bookmarks Toolbar, type B to turn the Bookmarks Toolbar on.

To install these widgets, DO NOT double click the links below. Instead, you are going to DRAG & DROP each one onto the Firefox bookmarks toolbar.

  1. Click once and hold that click down.  
  2. Keep holding it as you drag the link up to your bookmarks toolbar. 
  3. Drop the link there by letting go of your mouse. You'll know you're in the right place when the Prohibited symbol above the link name goes away.

For the Federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of grant funds awarded was $51,885,242.
The remaining 21.3% of the costs ($15,395,878) were funded by State appropriations.
