QUEST Internship Program for Persons with Disabilities
DORS partners with the Maryland Department of Budget and Management​ (DBM) to offer the QUEST program, which provides mentoring opportunities within State agencies, for people with disabilities.  QUEST internships are voluntary and unpaid, and are typically three-month, in full or part-time positions, which may be extended beyond the three-month period and many QUEST interns go on to paid positions in State agencies.​

The Vocational Rehabilitation program receives 78.7% of its funding through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
For the Federal fiscal year 2024, the total amount of grant funds awarded was $51,885,242.
The remaining 21.3% of the costs ($15,395,878) were funded by State appropriations.
