Independent Living Services

DORS operates the Independent Living Older Blind Program (ILOB). ILOB helps individuals who are 55 or older who are also blind or have a vision impairment to live independently in their homes and communities.

If you are not eligible for ILOB, and you have a disability but your goal is not to go to work, independent living (IL) services provided by a Center for Independent Living may be right for you. IL services are for individuals with disabilities who want to be more independent at home and in the community.
